My name is Rashmi Ranjan Padhy. I am a webpreneur, SEO Consultant, Small time Investor, Student, Son, Husband, Father, Friend. My area of interest ranges from Retail to Real Estate and Websites.

I belong to a business family, however, I am not yet involved in my family business completely. I want to create a name for myself, before I take up my family business. Speaking on experience, I worked for some Indian IT MNC for about 7 years, before I decided to quit and give full time to my websites.

IT Experience: Started my IT career in Infosys, Bhubaneswar on 9th August, 2004. Joined UST Global on 21st August, 2006. Quit UST Global on 31st Dec, 2010. Involved full time with Zumali and Sawaal, and other crazy ideas I might have.

Industry Experience: From June 1999 to July 2004. Dreamland Sales Pvt. Ltd. is a mega furnishing showroom located in Bhubaneswar, Orissa. It deals in home décor, bedding and furniture. It also has manufacturing units. The pillow manufacturing unit is a supplier of pillows to Kurlon-Eastzone and the outlets. The furniture manufacturing unit supplies customized sofas and furniture. Other units manufacture sheets, covers, door curtains, etc. Different service units are also present to cater to the customer’s needs.

Entrepreneurial Experience:

Year 2002: Started an Event Organizational Group. Organized our own events and popularized in my home town, Cuttack. The name of the event was F.L.U. ( Frnds, Life n U). It was a youth event having fun and games for the youth. Closed down after being betrayed by a friend, who took over the group only to ruin it.

Year 2003: Joined a MLM company called Pioneer E-Bizz later known as Smart Value. Was the leader in Orissa state and had limited success as well. I stopped it after I joined Infosys. I also realized, the MLM models are not something which I would be doing later due to its nature of rewarding the leaders only and not those who join late. It helped me a lot in polishing my presentation skills and personality development.

Year 2004: Started a company called as Home Solutions. Looking at the service sector and aiming for a retail revolution. The concept was appreciated and had quite a few customers. It required more time investment which I could not do after I joined Infosys and was forced to close it. I would start this with a new name soon.

www.sawaal.com – A new concept in the education niche. Target mass are Indian students.
A lot other small websites; which I would not bother mentioning it here.

Few other ideas waiting to be implemented:

1. Online market place: An online market place where the user gets up to 50% money back on any purchase made by them. No catch. www.zaakii.com Part of this is implemented in Zumali.

2. Retail Billing Product: A retail product aimed at the super markets and hyper markets to counter shoplifting, long queues, and personalized attention to customers and study the buying pattern of customers.

3. Retail Mall: A mall where everything is sold and the buyers get up to 50% money back on every purchase.
