True writing a business plan sometimes takes a long time. However, I have an understanding that is not only to write the business plan but to do the research and survey required for the venture as well.

A venture to be successful has to be researched as much as possible and I belong to school which preaches that this research be carried out by the founder and not by any external who is hired to write the business plan.

Only after the initial research is done, should one proceed to write a business plan

few plans took months to conceive and days to get executed and get a product shape. so its worth it.

I know you both are the same person or may be from the same office.
All I wanted to convey is, I never knew writing business plan is so costly. From now on I have got an understanding on that and can plan accordingly.

Now if you say it costs 1/10 for writing business plan it can vary because writing a plan will take around 100 hrs of effort whether you are looking for 2m USD or 40 m USD. so if you are trying to get less of funding then probably 1/10 would be the case.

But a simple way to find out if they are not charging extra is to check the hours. It would approx take 100 hrs of effort

Once you’re done with your plan, you might want to take a look at creating a one-pager. Then instead of referring back to a 20-50 page plan (which almost no one does), you’ll have a plan to use daily!
